HANNAH ADAMS REFLEXOLOGY Email HANNAH Hi, I’m Hannah and thrilled to be part of London Hypnobirthing family.

I discovered reflexology five years ago whilst pregnant with my gorgeous boy, Arlo. I became hooked on the therapy's transformative, blissfully relaxing benefits; I had never experienced anything quite like it.

After returning to my publishing career following maternity leave, with a heart like a deflated balloon, a chance encounter with a Tarot Card reader (yes, really!) planted the seed of an idea that would later come to fruition. I graduated with a level 3 diploma from The Central London College Of Reflexology in 2011 and have been completely fascinated and inspired by the therapy ever since.*

I deliver high-quality reflexology treatments in the comfort of client’s homes, working from a place of calm and positive intent to ensure you feel nurtured and relaxed. I create a tranquil, secure space for you to spend time bonding with your beautiful bump, and client comfort during treatment is a priority. Expect soft fluffy towels and blankets, non-intrusive music and high-quality organic apricot oil applied as a foot massage medium.

Lull Reflexology maternity sessions – from 14 weeks – feature a blend of traditional reflexology practices with Gentle Touch Reflexology (GTR) techniques and lymphatic drainage of the feet and calves. What this means, is that I combine precision reflex work of a varying light to moderate pressure with flowing massage movements to create a unique treatment that is tailored to your pregnancies changing needs.

Before 37 weeks, the focus of reflexology is on relaxation, wellbeing and promoting sleep, lovely sleep. Regular monthly or fortnightly treatments may help to alleviate common symptoms such as nausea, tiredness, disturbed sleep and muscular-skeletal pain. Lymphatic drainage also eases swelling in the feet and ankles. Beyond 37 weeks of pregnancy, reflexology can be used to support the body as it readies itself for labour. Treatments generally use a more stimulating pressure, but only if you want them to, and are recommended to be spaced at once-weekly intervals or closer at 40 plus weeks.

For more information on how reflexology is adapted throughout pregnancy and on current guidelines for Reflexology after 37 weeks read my blog post here.

Please do get in touch via London Hypnobirthing if you’re considering having reflexology, it’s always good to chat things through first. That way you are able to get a feel for how I work and, most importantly, if I’m the right practitioner for you and your baby.

I’ll sign off by saying that I love playing a small part in supporting women through and beyond pregnancy into life as fully-fledged mothers (or ‘muvvers’ as my son would say) with reflexology. It really is a pleasure and I look forward to meeting and treating you.
